Image of Murata Power Solutions' MYMGK1R812 DC-DC Converter Murata Power Solutions' MYMGK1R812 series of miniature monoblock-type non-isolated point-of-load (POL) DC-DC power converters is designed for embedded applications. The tiny form factor measures only 10.5 mm x 9.0 mm x 5.6 mm. Applications include powering FPGAs/CPUs, datacom/telecom systems, distributed bus architectures (DBAs), programmable logic, and mixed voltage systems. The converters have input voltage ranges of 4.5 VDC to 5.5 VDC or 8.0 VDC to 14.0 VDC and a maximum output current of 12 A. Based on a fixed frequency synchronous buck converter switching topology, this high-power conversion efficient POL module features programmable output voltage from 0.7 VDC to 1.8 VDC, on/off control, and Power Good signal output. These converters also include under-voltage lockout (UVLO), output short circuit protection, and overcurrent protection.
