EV45Y33A SAMD21 Machine Learning Evaluation Kit
Microchip's EV45Y33A SAMD21 IoT evaluation board features the SAMD21 MCU for AI machine learning applications
Microchip Technology's EV45Y33A SAMD21 machine learning evaluation kit features the SAMD21G18 Arm® Cortex®-M0+ based 32-bit microcontroller (MCU) with on-board debugger (nEDBG), an ATECC608A CryptoAuthentication™ secure element IC, and the fully certified ATWINC1510 Wi-Fi® network controller. Microchip’s MCP9808 high accuracy temperature sensor, the light sensor, and the add-on board with Bosch's BMI160, a low power inertial measurement unit (IMU), enables designers to collect data to train and create machine learning models.
Companies and developers are looking for new ways to lower the barrier to entry into machine learning at the edge technology. Edge Impulse helps developers by providing a full web-based tinyML pipeline, while Cartesiam enables the easy creation of static libraries that learn and infer right on Arm Cortex-M MCUs. Motion Gestures facilitates the recognition of a wide range of gestures on embedded devices. And Microchip has partnered with each of these industry leaders to bring the power of these machine learning tools into their proprietary MPLAB-X IDE. To help users get started with data gathering, training models, and inference implementation, Microchip has also launched the EV45Y33A evaluation kit.
