RV-8263-C8 Ultra-Small RTC Modules

Micro Crystal's RV-8263-C8 ultra-small RTC modules, part of the C8 series, are dedicated to compact lightweight designs and enable smaller and more efficient electronic devices.

The innovative C8 series combines a dedicated CMOS RTC chip with a minuscule quartz crystal in a compact 2.0 mm x 1.2 mm 8-pin ceramic case. This integration enables a low-profile design of 0.7 mm, enhancing the compactness and weight (5.1 mg).

Embracing a vacuum-sealed metal lid, the C8 series ensures reliability and ultra-lightweight RTC components. The C8 series retains the high performance of the C7 predecessors and a 50% reduction in footprint. With an I²C bus interface, the RV-8263-C8 represents the epitome of standalone nano-power (190 nA) timekeeping functions on a user's PCB when size is crucial.

The RV-8263-C8 CMOS RTC/calendar module is designed for low power consumption and optimized for high-volume, cost-sensitive applications. The module incorporates an offset register, compensating for a frequency deviation of the 32.768 kHz clock. The I²C bus interface facilitates a smooth data transfer rate of 400 kHz.
