Analog Devices' MAXM17532 is a step-down DC-DC power module built in a compact uSLIC package. The MAXM17532 integrates a controller, MOSFETs, an inductor, and the compensation components. The device operates from an input voltage of 4.0 V to 42 V, supports an adjustable output voltage from 0.9 V to 5.5 V, and supplies up to 100 mA of load current. The high level of integration significantly reduces design complexity, manufacturing risks, and offers a true plug-and-play power supply solution, reducing the time-to-market. The MAXM17532 uses peak-current-mode control and operates in pulse-width modulation (PWM) mode. It is available in a thermally enhanced, compact 10-pin, 2.6 mm x 3 mm x 1.5 mm uSLIC package, and is rated to operate over the full -40°C to +125°C industrial/automotive temperature range.
The MAXM15462 is a high-efficiency, synchronous step-down DC-DC module with integrated circuit and inductor that operates over a wide input-voltage range. The module operates from 4.5 V to 42 V input and delivers up to 300 mA output current over a programmable output voltage from 0.9 V to 5 V. The module is an easy-to-use, step-down power module that significantly reduces design complexity, manufacturing risks, and offers a true plug-and-play power-supply solution, reducing time-to-market. The device employs peak-current-mode control architecture through the MODE pin that can be used to operate the device in pulse-width modulation (PWM) or pulse-frequency modulation (PFM) control schemes. To reduce input inrush current, the device offers an internal soft-start. The MAXM15462 module is available in a low profile, compact 10-pin, 2.6 mm × 3 mm × 1.5 mm uSLIC package. The device can operate over a wide temperature range from -40°C to +125°C.
