Solid State Drive (SSD)

Application Overview

The Solid State Drive (SSD) needs a bank of capacitors to "hold-up" the power rail when system power is lost. This energy gives the drive time to flush its caches and write its information tables. Sometimes this is called "The Last Gasp."
