D455 RealSense™ Depth Cameras

By expanding the D400 family of stereo cameras, Intel® RealSense™ D455 depth cameras provide a longer-range experience than the D415/D435 cameras. The goal is to expand the capabilities of the stereo line to include more use cases where a bit longer vision is required. A key factor in autonomous movement of a robot is its ability to see further distances allowing robots more time to react for collision avoidance. The Intel RealSense D455 depth camera allows robots to see further with more accuracy than other D400 products. It works indoors or outdoors at a 2% Z error at 4 m. This provides the robot even better vision to make choices in avoiding obstacles. Intel's stereo cameras can be used in conjunction with one another allowing multiple cameras to cover more areas. If indoors, the Intel RealSense L515 LiDAR camera can provide even greater distance and accuracy.
