RF switches and antenna cross switches may be applied for antenna and frequency band selection to optimize an IoT system in size, cost, and performance. These compact ICs can select the best-performing antenna for a given frequency, direction, and environmental condition to achieve the best signal transmission and power savings for longer battery life.

Infineon's wide variety of low noise amplifiers (LNAs) provide fast and precise navigation, enabling smooth, high-quality streaming and a high data rate in any reception conditions. Highly integrated in the smallest package, these LNA MMICs come with ESD protection and low power consumption. Furthermore, the innovative SiGe technology delivers lower noise than silicon alternatives and the performance is comparable to high-priced GaAs counterparts. Infineon’s LNAs meet a wide variety of frequency ranges, covering from 0.1 GHz to 7.2 GHz (from walkie-talkie to 5G NR-U applications). They are best suited for 5G/4G, GNSS, Wi-Fi, tablets, and many other IoT applications.
