This high-performance Arm® Cortex®-M33 microcontroller family enables designers to deliver the market innovations customers expect from their next-generation devices.

The PSOC Control C3 enables real-time control of motor and power conversion systems that need to respond to real-time events with minimal delay and low utilization. It utilizes fast analog and digital peripherals to support wide-bandgap (WBG) systems and has integrated features to reduce system BOM costs. The PSOC Control C3 MCUs are PSA Certified™ Level 2 for advanced security and safety and come with ready-to-use code examples and development tools supported in the ModusToolbox™ software suite. This latest family of microcontrollers will increase performance and efficiency for next-generation products.

Advanced features of the PSOC Control microcontroller include the high-performance ADC and an integrated coordinate rotation digital computer (CORDIC) accelerator. With true synchronous idle sampling of up to 16 analog signals from the single-core ADC, up to 25% faster results are possible without any sampling jitter. The CORDIC accelerator can off-load CPU and increase computational power for real-time critical tasks such as field-oriented motor control algorithms. In addition, the programmable timer/counter pulse-width modulator (TCPWM) has a motion interface (MOTIF) block that can be used to communicate motor control signals. This unique combination of power and performance will bring the next generation of industrial solutions to market.

To enable a variety of applications with optimized solutions, Microchip offers the PSOC Control C3M product line specific to motor control applications, with Entry (best value) and Main Line (more features, higher performance) families of products.
