OptiMOS™ N-channel power MOSFETs

Infineon’s OptiMOS™ N-channel power MOSFETs consistently meets the highest quality and performance demands in key specifications for power system designs. Covering 15V - 300V range, the portfolio can address a broad range of needs from low to high switching frequencies. Features include ultralow RDS(on) as well as low charge for high switching frequency applications. The full range of OptiMOS™ power MOSFETs enables innovation and performance in applications such as switch mode power supplies (SMPS), battery powered applications, motor control and drives, inverters, and computing.

OptiMOS™ devices are available in different packages to address demands for high current carrying capability and significant space saving. The broad portfolio enables footprint reduction, high current rating, and optimized thermal performance. Surface mount leadless devices are enabled for footprint reduction while through-hole packages are characterized by a high-power rating. Innovative DirectFET™ and TO-Leadless (TOLL) packages are designed for high frequency applications by offering the lowest parasitic resistance. New package innovations include the SuperSO8 Source-Down package offering high power density and performance; the TOLG (Gullwing leads) optimized for TCoB (Thermal cycling on board) robustness; TOLT (top-side cooling) optimized for superior thermal performance; sTOLL optimized for high power in small form factor; and the SuperSO8 dual-side cooling (DSC) optimized for dual-side cooling in a standard 5x6 mm2 footprint .

The OptiMOS™ family also includes a wide range of automotive-qualified power MOSFETs (30V – 300V) with superior performance and quality beyond AEC-Q101.

OptiMOS™ 7

The OptiMOS™ 7 family is based on Infineon’s latest trench MOSFET technology, which takes advantage of a revolutionary cell design. It brings together the benefits of an exceptionally low on-state resustance R(DS(on)) and low diode reverse recovery, ensuring high efficiency, high power density, low electromagnetic interference (EMI), and high system reliability. As a result, it enables reduction of paralleled MOSFETs in high-current applications.

OptiMOS™ 6

OptiMOS™ 6 power MOSFETs enables the highest level of system efficiency. OptiMOS™ 6 utilizes a cutting-edge trench process, which delivers significant improvements in switching/conduction losses, and current capability. These improvements translate to lower system losses, allowing for improvements in power density, board temperature, and over-all system reliability. Target applications include switch mode power supply (SMPS), renewables, OR-ing circuits, motor drives, LEV and battery powered applications.
