CYUSBS236 USB-Serial (Dual-Channel) Development Kit

Infineon Technologies' CYUSBS236 USB-serial development kit (DVK) is designed as an easy-to-use kit, showcasing the unique features of Infineon's CY7C65215 USB-serial bridge controller. CYUSBS236 development kit helps evaluate the features of the CY7C65215 dual-channel USB-serial bridge controller. The DVK provides two copper pads on PCB to test CAPSENSE™ features, two pairs of EEPROMs to test I²C and SPI interfaces, two RS232 line drivers to test UART interfaces.

The USB-serial bridge controller series is the latest addition to Infineon's family of full-speed USB controllers. The CY7C65215 controller is the first in the industry to offer dual-channel configurable serial channels for UART/I²C/SPI interfaces, with some of the industry's lowest power consumption in standby mode (5 µA). CY7C65215 is the first full-speed USB-serial bridge controller that offers a dual-channel configurable serial interface (UART/I²C/SPI). The controller also features battery charging detection (BCD) logic and capacitive touch sensing at low suspend-state currents of 5 µA. The controller is offered in a 5 mm x 5 mm, 32-pin QFN package to meet the dimensional requirements of portable devices.

The USB-serial bridge controller series is ideal for applications such as portable medical devices, like blood-glucose meters, POS terminals, serial cables including USB-to-UART and RS232 cables, and many other applications requiring USB connectivity.
