Image of Broadcom ASSR Series Solid-State RelaysThe ASSR series solid-state relays (SSRs) from Broadcom are advanced, optically isolated switching devices designed to replace traditional electromechanical relays (EMRs) in a wide range of applications. These relays utilize an AlGaAs infrared LED input stage optically while coupled to a high-voltage MOSFET output, enabling fast, silent, and reliable switching.

The ASSR-14XX and ASSR-15XX families offer single- and dual-channel configurations with 1 Form A (normally open) contact equivalents. They are available in compact SO, DIP, and gull-wing surface-mount packages, making them ideal for space-constrained designs. With high-speed switching, low on-resistance, and robust isolation ratings, these relays are suitable for both AC and DC loads.

The ASSR-1411 and ASSR-1511 models support DC-only configurations with enhanced current handling and reduced on-resistance, making them particularly effective in high-current industrial environments. Designed for reliability and safety, the ASSR series meets stringent insulation and regulatory standards, including UL1577 and CSA certifications 1 2.
