PTFE Glass Cloth Tape
Bertech PTFEGC36 series glass cloth tape is ideal for applications requiring high-temperature performance and high abrasion resistance
Bertech PTFEGC36 series glass cloth tape is constructed using 5 mil thick PTFE-impregnated glass cloth with 2 mil thick silicone adhesive. It has a yellow paper liner. PTFE tape is used in many applications requiring high-temperature performance and abrasion resistance.
- Tensile strength: 180 lbs/in
- Elongation: 5%
- Dielectric strength: 3,000 volts
- Operating temperature: -73°C to +260°C (-100°F to +500°F)
- Adhesion to steel: 30 oz/in
- Heat sealing and packaging machines: their non-stick surface prevents adhesives and materials from sticking to the equipment
- Where heat resistance and electrical insulation are critical, such as in motors, transformers, and wires
- Automotive and aerospace industries, where heat resistance and durability properties are needed for sealing, insulation, and protection of critical components
