USB Type C Cables

ASSMANN WSW Components’ new cable assemblies offer a Type C USB connector, the newest USB configuration on the market. The USB C connector features a reversible plug configuration that eliminates the hassle of finding the correct plug orientation. This cable can be plugged into any USB C device using either end allowing the user to charge and power the USB C enabled device plus sync and transfer data quickly and safely. USB Type C supports data transfer rates that are twice the speed of existing USB 3.0 technology, up to 10 Gbps, while providing up to 3 A current for faster charging and increased power capabilities for compatible devices.

With backwards capability, the USB C cable is capable of carrying USB 3.1, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and USB 1.1 signals and using adapters, users will be able to connect older devices to Type-C ports, even devices that use non-USB technologies, like DisplayPort, VGA, and Ethernet.
