MAX22664/MAX22665 Multichannel Digital Isolators
ADI's MAX22664 and MAX22665 are multichannel digital isolators for high-isolation applications
ADI's MAX22664 and MAX22665 are 6-channel, reinforced, fast, low-power digital galvanic isolators using Analog Devices’ proprietary process technology. All devices feature reinforced isolation with a withstand voltage rating of 5 kVRMS for 60 seconds. Both automotive and general-purpose devices are rated for operation at ambient temperatures from -40°C to +125°C. Devices with /V suffix are AEC-Q100 qualified. These devices transfer digital signals between circuits with different power domains, using as little as 0.71 mW per channel at 1 Mbps (1.8 V supply). The low-power feature reduces system dissipation, increases reliability, and enables compact designs.
Devices are available with a maximum data rate of 25 Mbps or 200 Mbps and with default-high or default-low outputs. The devices feature low propagation delay and low clock jitter, reducing system latency.
Independent 1.71 V to 5.5 V supplies on each side also make the devices suitable for use as level translators.
The MAX22664 has four channels for digital signal transmission (two channels transmitting digital signals in one direction and two in the opposite direction), and the MAX22665 has six (five channels transmitting digital signals in one direction and one in the opposite direction).
The evaluation kits (EV kits) provide a proven design to evaluate the MAX22664 and MAX22665, six-channel, galvanic digital isolators in a 20-pin SSOP package. Two types of evaluation boards are available to support different channel direction configurations and selectable output default settings of the MAX2266x family. The MAX22565CAEVKIT# is fully assembled and tested and comes populated with the MAX22565CAAP+. The MAX2256XAEVKIT# is a generic board with U1 unpopulated, allowing the user to select a device to evaluate. Both evaluation boards support the 20-pin SSOP package type only.
