Image of Analog Devices' LTM4673 Quad Output μModule® RegulatorADI's LTM4673 is a quad output, dual 12 A and dual 5 A, switching mode DC/DC step-down μModule (power module) regulator integrated with 4-channel power system manager used to sequence, trim (servo), margin, supervise, manage faults, provide telemetry, and create fault logs. Operating over an input voltage range of 4.5 V to 15 V, the LTM4673 supports an output voltage range of 0.6 V to 3.3 V for 12 A channels and 0.6 V to 5.5 V for 5 A channels. Only bulk input and output capacitors are needed.

The LTM4673’s 2-wire serial interface allows outputs to be precisely margined, tuned, and programmable sequenced up and down. An internal 16-bit ADC monitors and supervises input and all four output voltages, currents, and temperatures. Faults can be programmed for overcurrent and undercurrent, voltage and temperature threshold limits for four output channels, and over and undervoltage for the input.

Demonstration circuit DC2810A features the LTM4673: the wide input and output voltage range, high efficiency and power density, quad output DC/DC step-down μModule regulator with digital interface for control and monitoring.
