A8660 Synchronous Buck Converter

Allegro's A8660 extends the power range of single-output regulators and addresses the constantly growing need for higher power automobiles and industrial equipment. It is a versatile building block that provides a low electromagnetic interference (EMI) solution that simplifies component qualification and inventory.

This buck controller can drive loads up to 10 A with a wide range of input voltage up to 45 V (50 V maximum). It features a wide switching frequency range as well as dithering and external synchronization capability. It allows for flexible power monitoring with adjustable rising delay for microcontroller reset and power sequencing. A high voltage, battery-short tolerant enable input, combined with second logic-level input signal that simplifies ignition input driven automotive designs. The A8660 is offered in a 4 mm x 4 mm QFN-20 wettable flank package with an exposed power-pad (suffix ES).
