Webinar – Zephyr Workshop: Writing Device Drivers

Zephyr is a powerful real-time operating system (RTOS) and development framework built on the same open-source principles as Linux. It also inherits many of the same tools and concepts, such as Kconfig and the Devicetree, to help developers create truly portable code for various embedded platforms. The biggest downside, however, is the learning curve.

Shawn Hymel, Expert Instructor and Creative Course Creator in Embedded Systems and Machine Learning, guides attendees through the process of writing an I2C temperature sensor device driver using Zephyr. Building a device driver is crucial for developing applications. Follow along with hands-on learning by putting together the hardware kit Shawn will be using.

The 90-minute online webinar takes place on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 10:30 AM CDT. Even if you are unable to attend the live session, please be sure to register so we can send you a link to the recording when it is complete.
