Heat Shrink Tubing - TE Connectivity

In the world of electrical engineering and cable management, heat shrink tubing is an essential component protecting, insulating, and organizing wiring in everything from consumer electronics to aerospace systems. When it comes to quality and reliability, TE Connectivity’s product offering stands out. Whether you're an engineer prototyping a new device, a technician working on field repairs, an auto mechanic, or a buyer sourcing components for large-scale production, DigiKey has available inventory in Heat Shrink Tubing, Boots/Caps, Kits and several options in labeling for high-performance critical industries like automotive, aerospace, telecom, energy, and industrial automation.

When ordering Heat Shrink, you’ll want to make sure you have the correct minimum supplied and the maximum recovery diameters. The minimum diameter of tubing is a measurement that is before shrinkage occurs.  When looking at minimum it can be more, but it can’t be less. The maximum recovery is what the tubing can shrink down too.  It must be able to shrink down to the diameter listed, and can be smaller (it cannot be larger). When measuring make sure you measure a straight line through the heat shrink (passing through the center of the circle), this is the diameter.

Here’s what makes TE’s heat shrink tubing a go-to solution:

  • Durable, high-quality materials
  • Excellent resistance to abrasion, chemicals, fluids, and extreme temperatures
  • Built to withstand harsh environments
  • Many products are UL/CSA certified and RoHS compliant
  • Comprehensive product range
  • Single-wall and dual-wall (adhesive-lined) tubing
  • High shrink ratios for irregular shapes and connectors
  • Flame-retardant, UV-resistant, and military-grade options
  • Wide range of diameters, lengths, and colors

Popular series include:

  • RNF-100 – General-purpose, flame-retardant
  • CGPT – Economical and flexible
  • HFT5000 – Heavy-duty for demanding applications
  • HTAT – Dual-wall tubing with superior sealing
  • Thermofit – Heat shrink boot
