RoHS Statement

DigiKey is aware of and supports the European Union's RoHS2 Directive 2011/65/EU and the 2015/863 amendment adding the 4 phthalates DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP. As an authorized distributor, DigiKey is able to provide information and documentation made available to us by the manufacturers regarding the material content of the product we sell or the manufacturing processes used to make these products.

DigiKey will display RoHS statuses on our website, quotes, pack lists and invoices.

RoHS3 Compliant - These parts are compliant with the RoHS 2011/65/EU Directive and the 2015/863 amendment – including parts that are compliant under an exemption as part of the directive

RoHS Compliant - These parts are compliant with the RoHS 2011/65/EU Directive. We are continuing to work with our supply chain to verify if these products comply with the 2015/863 amendment

RoHS Non-Compliant - These parts are not compliant with the 2011/65/EU Directive and the 2015/863 amendment

RoHS Not Applicable - These parts are not subject to the RoHS directive as they fall outside of the scope. This includes most batteries, and hand tools

Vendor Undefined - The manufacturer has not defined the RoHS status of the parts.

DigiKey distributes a very wide selection of products, including those that are RoHS Compliant and RoHS Non-Compliant.

Customers must take an active role in understanding environmental compliance of product and selecting products accordingly.

REACH Statement

DigiKey is aware of and supports the European Union's REACH Regulation (EC No 1907/2006). As an authorized distributor, DigiKey is able to provide information and documentation made available to us by the manufacturers regarding the material content of the product we sell or the manufacturing processes used to make these products.

We are actively surveying our suppliers to gain awareness of their compliance with the REACH Regulation.

DigiKey is aware of the SCIP database notification requirements going into effect January 5, 2021. We are working with our supply chain to acquire the required information and make the required SCIP database submissions, as required by the European Union (EU) Waste Framework Directive (WFD) (2008/98/EC).

DigiKey will display REACH status icons and dates to indicate which SVHC (substance of very high concern) update the product was identified as being compliant. The icons and explanation of the REACH statuses are explained below. A status date alongside the icon will be noted when applicable. REACH status information supplied by DigiKey is based solely on information provided to DigiKey by the manufacturer. DigiKey is not responsible for the accuracy of this information.

REACH Unaffected - The product and its packaging does not contain any substances of very high concern (SVHCs) as identified by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).

REACH Affected - The product does contain a substance of very high concern (SVHC) as identified by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and may require consideration prior to ordering this part.

Vendor Undefined - The product has not yet been classed for REACH status.

DigiKey distributes a very wide selection of products, and not all the products we sell have a REACH status at this time.

California Proposition 65

DigiKey is aware of the CA Prop 65 regulation. We are working with our supply chain to ensure our continued compliance with the CA Prop 65 regulation.

We will continue to pass on any CA Prop 65 information and warnings that we receive from our suppliers, in compliance with the current CA Prop 65 regulation. Applicable warning information can be found on the part detail pages on our website and will accompany shipments as required.

Conflict Minerals Statement

DigiKey is aware of the Dodd-Frank Consumer Protection Act, Section 1502 regarding Conflict Minerals. Conflict Minerals include the following minerals sourced from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries:

• Columbite-Tantalite (Tantalum)
• Wolframite (Tungsten)
• Gold

As an authorized distributor of electronic components and participating member of ECIA, we are able provide the Responsible Minerals Initiative Conflict Mineral Reporting Templates (RMI CMRTs) when made available by the manufacturers.

DigiKey does not intentionally add or expose the products we sell to Mercury.

DigiKey does carry products that contain Mercury, and those products are designated as CONTAINS MERCURY on our website, quotes, pack lists and invoices and include a note regarding proper disposal.

Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Statement:

As an ECIA member, DigiKey is aware the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has published the final rules for the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), restricting five chemicals in products. We are working with our supply chain and monitoring as changes develop to collect new product information and meet the TSCA requirements.

CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism)

DigiKey is aware of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) regulations adopted in May 2023. These new regulations are part of the EU's broader strategy to become carbon neutral by 2050. CBAM places a carbon price on imports of certain goods from outside the EU, ensuring that the carbon cost of producing those goods is accounted for in a way similar to goods produced within the EU under its Emissions Trading System (ETS). As an authorized distributor, DigiKey can provide information and documentation made available to us by the manufacturers regarding direct, indirect, and embedded emissions of the product we sell, or the manufacturing processes used to make these products.
