YAGEO AS Series X7R Automotive Grade Soft Termination MLCC

YAGEO's AS series of Automotive Grade MLCCs with soft termination is tailored for automotive equipment that demands high board flexibility. This series, known for its continuous quality enhancement and assurance, effectively addresses issues like cracking due to excessive mechanical stress and thermal fatigue.

The soft termination MLCC features a conductive silver polymer layer integrated into the standard termination structure. This layer serves as a protective "cushion" to mitigate stress in challenging environments. In comparison to the AC series, which ensures a 2 mm test board flexure, the AS series can withstand at least 5 mm for case sizes equal to or smaller than 1210.

What is special about YAGEO MLCC Automotive Grade Soft Termination AS?

YAGEO MLCC AS series is designed for a better VCC (Voltage Coefficient of Capacitance), compared to conventional ones by:

  • Advanced Dispersion Technique: Ensured uniform composition and microstructure, resulting in small grain sizes and homogeneous MLCCs.
  • Innovative Sintering Aid: Developed a low-temperature sintering aid to promote even distribution of dopants and facilitate small grain sizes and homogeneous structures.

As a result, YAGEO MLCC AS series can enhance electronic circuit performance and reliability.

YAGEO AC Series X5R/X6S/NP0/X7R/X8R Automotive Grade SMD/SMT MLCCs

YAGEO's automotive grade MLCC – AC series is AEC-Q200 qualified to ensure its reliability can approach the goal of zero defects in field applications. To achieve such a high reliability level, the automotive grade must introduce a different design concept from that of commercial grade. Starting from material design, both microstructure and macrostructure need to be considered at the same time.

In class II MLCC, a core-shell microstructure must be optimized, and the internal constructions, like thicknesses of cover plate, side margin, and end margin, are specified differently from commercial grade. In terms of processing, tightened engineering specifications and quality inspections are applied to achieve the goal of high reliability.

YAGEO has complete solutions in the field of automotive passive components and can provide high quality products and services to satisfy customers. YAGEO can meet various demands in different applications and will be customers’ best partner on the road to success.
