LCE80 Series 80 W Open Frame AC/DC Power Supplies

XP Power’s LCE80 series convection cooled 80 W, 4” x 2” open frame power supplies provide a solution for wide ranging applications in lighting, display, industrial electronics, and ITE and provide an excellent power density, constant voltage, and constant current operation. The LCE80 series power supplies provide a limited power source for 12 V and above, harmonic currents Class C for loads of 50 W and above, Class I and Class II operation, and a wide input voltage range of 90 V_AC to 305 V_AC.

The LCE80 series comes in ten different models with DC outputs of 5 V, 12 V, 15 V, 20 V, 24 V, 30 V, 36 V, 42V, 48 V, or 54 V. There is an on-board trim pot that provides ±10% output voltage adjustment. They have an input voltage range of 90 V_AC to 305 V_AC with full load available at 90 V_AC. The input to output isolation is 3 kV_AC, input to ground 1.5 kV_AC, and output to ground 1.5 kV_AC. They have efficiency is up to 89.9%, and when they are operated with no load, the input power is less than 0.5 W. The leakage current is typically 280 µA at 230 V_AC.

The LCE80 is suitable for Class I and Class II installations, with short circuit, overvoltage protection (OVP), and overload protection (OLP). Standards include EN55032 Class B for conducted and radiated emissions; EN55035, EN61547, and EN61000-4-2/3/4/5/6/8/11 for EMC immunity; EN61000-3-2 harmonic current Class C for 50 W load and above. Safety approvals include CB IEC62368-1 (ITE), IEC60950-1 (ITE), UL62368-1 (ITE), TUV EN62368-1 (ITE), EN61347 (lighting), and UL8750 (lighting).

The overall dimensions are 4.0” x 2.0” x 1.1” (101.6 mm x 50.8 mm x 27.9 mm). The operating temperature range is -40°C to +70°C with full power available -30°C (-40°C high line) to +50°C. The MTBF is 300 khrs (MIL-HDBK-217F, Notice 2, +25°C GB), and the operating altitude is up to 5000 m.
