WIRL-PRO2: Thyone-I Radio Module

The Würth Elektronik Thyone-I is a compact radio module designed for wireless communication between devices such as control systems, remote controls, and sensor nodes. Pre-loaded with WE-ProWare firmware, it offers engineers the flexibility of configuring point-to-point or mesh networks. The module operates in the globally available 2.4 GHz license-free band and includes an integrated PCB antenna with the option to connect an external antenna for extended-range applications. Supporting both long-range (125 kbit/s) and high-throughput (2 Mbit/s) radio profiles, it features a transparent mode for serial cable replacement. With low power consumption suitable for battery-powered devices, the Thyone-I also includes embedded security features like secure boot and hardware-accelerated encryption to ensure data integrity and protection. Its small form factor and additional GPIO pins enable integration into compact designs, providing engineers with a reliable solution for wireless connectivity.
