8 A to 60 A FRED Pt Gen 5 Hyperfast and Ultrafast Rectifiers

Vishay's 8 A to 60 A, 1200 V FRED Pt Gen 5 hyperfast and ultrafast rectifiers are designed to increase the efficiency of high-frequency converters and hard/soft-switched or resonant designs. These rectifiers are matched to operate with MOSFETs or high-speed IGBTs. Gen 5 FRED rectifiers offer up to 10% lower loss than other silicon solutions that also cut the efficiency gap with SiC diodes in half and provide a cost-effective alternative for applications with frequencies in the range of 50 kHz. These devices can also offer the same forward voltage as other solutions while delivering up to 40% lower switching loss and Q_RR. The rectifiers are available in 2L TO-220AC / TO-247AD 2L (single-diode devices) and 3L TO-220AB / TO-247AD 3L (dual-diode devices) packages.
