WSHP2818 Power Metal Strip® Resistor

Vishay Dale's Power Metal Strip WSHP2818 is an all-metal welded construction that offers robust AEC-Q200 qualified automotive grade performance. The resistance element consists of a low TCR alloy (< 20 ppm/°C), which is much thicker than the resistance element of a thick film or foil technology, that provides superior pulse and overload performance. Additionally, the construction of the WSHP2818 wraps the large copper terminals directly under the resistance element to maximize heat transfer efficiency from the element to the board so that it can maximize the power density of the design as well as reduce the effects of PCR (TCR effects due to applied power).
