NTCLE350 Series High-Temperature Sensors with Insulated Leads

Image of Vishay's NTCLE350 High-Temperature Insulated LeadsVishay's NTCLE350 series of leads are enhanced to withstand high temperatures of up to +185°C. The PEEK insulated NiFe alloy conductor wire of the NTCLE350 has a very low thermal conductivity. When the component measures a hot-spot inside of an application, practically no thermal loss occurs through the wires. Unlike other components with higher thermally-conducting copper wires, the NTCLE350 will not present any temperature deviation and is capable of sensing temperatures within ±1.7°C at a peak temperature of +185°C. The PEEK insulation of the lead wires offers good adhesion to the epoxy coating (unlike Teflon for example), thereby improving the behavior of the components in high-humidity conditions (+85°C/85% relative humidity). The sensor’s comprehensive, robust construction also makes it suitable for challenging assembly mounting processes, including welding, brazing, molding, and potting. With NTCLE350 fulfilling the AEC-Q200 qualification, it is the ideal choice for any automotive application (combustion engines and electric motors), especially exhaust gas recirculation and oil temperature sensors (transmission systems and liquid-cooled starter/generator systems). Demanding industrial applications in high-temperature environments are also potential candidates for this component.
