Miniature Immersion NTC Temperature Sensors

Vishay miniature NTC immersion sensors are primarily suitable for fluid immersion temperature sensing applications, especially when accuracy and fast time response are necessary. These sensors can also be found in applications that require hot-spot temperature monitoring within a housed environment. The off-the-shelf miniature NTC immersion sensors incorporate a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor mounted in a 304L/316L stainless-steel housing with or without a brass collar for sealed mounting with electrical connection via twin PVC insulated AWG#30 lead wires. The small housing tip dimensions and thin insulated lead wire construction reduce the thermal gradient, making for more accurate temperature measurements. The sensor can be mounted by means of a sealing O-ring and screw or clasped/molded into place. The end wire can be soldered or crimped to a connector. In addition to the off-the-shelf version, the miniature NTC immersion sensors provide the designer with flexibility through electrical and mechanical customization options.
