Fusible Safety Wirewound Resistors
Silent + Safe Fusing, Surge Handling up to 6 kV
The Vishay AC-CS series uses special nonflammable coating material to ensure safe and silent fusing operation in 230VAC mains voltage overload conditions, being UL1412 recognized. Offered with 1W (AC01-CS), 3W (AC03-CS) and 5W (AC05-CS), these resistors act as an in-rush current limiting resistor with a surge capability of up to 6kV, with resistance values from 3 ohms to 100 ohms. The AC-CS series can be used to meet safety requirements while eliminating the need for additional fuses in series with a standard input resistor.
