MAYA-W2 Series Modules

u-blox's MAYA-W2 series host-based modules are designed and made to meet the reliability and quality requirements of numerous industrial applications. The module series is based on the NXP IW611 and IW612 chips, which provide OS driver integration in their application host BSPs and SDK support for NXP MCUs. The modules are relatively small at 10.4 mm x 14.3 mm, allowing for use in compact designs.

The MAYA-W2 modules provide SISO Wi-Fi 6 operation with up to 600 Mbit/s PHY layer throughput, MU-MIMO, and high performance in dense Wi-Fi conditions. Using 20 MHz, 40 MHz, or 80 MHz channels, the modules can work as access points, stations, in P2P connections, or any combination. MAYA-W2 supports Bluetooth® Low Energy 5.3, including using isochronous channels for LE Audio.

Common applications for the tri-radio MAYA-W2 series include industrial automation, tracking and telematics, building automation, healthcare, professional appliances, and EV charging infrastructures.

The MAYA-W271 and MAYA-W276 provide 802.15.4, used by Thread for Matter and Zigbee.

The M2-MAYA-W2 card combines the performance of the MAYA-W2 module with the flexibility and ease of use of an M.2 card. With dual-band 2.4 GHz/5 GHz and 80 MHz channel width, the card can operate as an access point, station, in P2P communication mode, or any combination thereof. The 802.15.4 protocol, as used by Thread for Matter, is supported. The M.2 card also supports the full feature set of Bluetooth Low Energy 5.2, including support for isochronous channels for Low Energy Audio.

The EVK-MAYA-W2 evaluation kit allows an external host processor to access several practical features for testing and evaluating the connectivity options supported in MAYA-W2 series modules. It contains all the features in the M.2 card with the full functionality of an evaluation kit.
