PD42-x-1670 Closed-Loop, Smart BLDC Motors

TRINAMIC's family of smart brushless direct current (BLDC) motors are designed for 4,000 rpm nominal velocity and 6.25 Ncm to 18.5 Ncm rated holding torque. Together with a state-of-the-art feature set and a CAN bus interface, the PD42-x-1670 is highly integrated and offers superior handling.

The BLDC PANdrive offers two firmware options, TMCL™ and CANopen, making it suitable for lab automation, factory automation, manufacturing, robotics, and CNC applications. Parameters can be permanently stored on the board itself and the PANdrive takes care of critical operations such as ramp calculations, ensuring low communication traffic.

The full mechatronic solution includes state-of-the-art field-oriented motor control (FOC) and powerful and efficient drivers. A Hall-based rotary feedback system makes it reliable and durable. Equipped with industry standard protocols, it is easily integrated in PLC environments or in standalone applications. The drive is designed to work with a 24 V power supply. The PD42-x-1670 offers three different lengths, each with 42 mm flange size brushless motors.
