TPS62A0x Series Synchronous Buck Converter

Texas Instruments' TPS62A0x devices are synchronous step-down buck DC/DC converters that are optimized for high efficiency and compact size. The converters integrate switches that deliver an output current up to 2 A. At medium to heavy loads, the devices operate in pulse-width modulation (PWM) mode with a switching frequency of 2.4 MHz. At light loads, these devices automatically enter power-save mode (PSM) to maintain high efficiency over the load current range. In shutdown, the current consumption is minimal as well.

The TPS62A0x converters provide an adjustable output voltage through an external resistor divider. An internal soft-start circuit limits the inrush current during startup. Other features include built-in overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown protection, and Power-Good. The devices are available in a SOT-563 package.
