Image of Texas Instruments' TLA2518 8-Channel 12-Bit ADCTexas Instruments' TLA2518 is an easy-to-use, 8-channel, multiplexed, 12-bit, 1 MSPS successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The eight channels can be independently configured as a combination of up to eight analog inputs, digital inputs, or digital outputs. The device has an internal oscillator for the ADC conversion process.

The TLA2518 communicates via an SPI-compatible interface and supports averaging multiple data samples with a single start of conversion. The built-in programmable averaging filters help reduce noise from the analog inputs and reduce the number of data samples required to be read by the host.

    • Achieve full throughput with >13.5 MHz SPI
