Image of Texas Instruments' HDC3022 Digital Relative Humidity SensorTexas Instruments' HDC3022 and HDC3022-Q1are integrated capacitive-based relative humidity (RH) and temperature sensors that provide high-accuracy measurements over a wide supply range (1.62 V to 5.5 V) and ultra-low power consumption in a compact 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm package. The temperature and humidity sensor is 100% tested and trimmed on a production setup that is NIST-traceable and verified with equipment that is calibrated to the ISO/IEC 17025 standards. The offset error correction reduces the RH sensor offset due to aging, exposure to extreme operating conditions, and contaminants, which returns the device to within the accuracy specifications.

For battery IoT applications, the auto measurement mode and ALERT feature enable low system power by maximizing the MCU sleep time. Four different I2C addresses support speeds of up to 1 MHz. The heating element dissipates condensation and moisture. The sensor includes a cover option that protects the open-cavity RH sensor. The permanent IP67 filter membrane offers protection from dust, water, and PCB washes.
