The device is rated to dissipate contact ESD strikes of ±22 kV contact and ±22 kV air gap, which is over the maximum level that is specified in the IEC 61000-4-2 international standard.

The low dynamic resistance and low clamping voltage help protect the systems against transient events. This protection is key because industrial systems require a high level of robustness and reliability.
