RGF EMC Filters

TDK-Lambda filters are designed to provide exceptional differential mode filtering

Image of TDK-Lambda RGF EMC FiltersTDK-Lambda RGF board-mount EMI filters are suitable for power supplies with high input current requirements. Rated at 20 A and 40 A, these filters are designed to provide exceptional differential mode filtering. Leveraging advanced TDK component technology, these modules streamline system-level compliance to CISPR and other compliance standards.

The RGF filters are encapsulated for protection in harsh environments, measure 52.8 mm x 35.2 mm x 12.7 mm, and feature a robust five-sided metal case. The design includes two threaded and two non-threaded mounting holes, ensuring easy installation and enhanced cooling in both conduction and convection-cooled systems.

When used in conjunction with non-isolated DC/DC converter modules, such as the i6A, i7A, i7C, RGA, RGB, and RGC series, the RGF filter module provides a significant amount of differential mode attenuation over a broad frequency range. This reduces overall system noise and simplifies compliance to typical EMI standards. The input voltage range is from 0 V to 80 V and withstands input transients of up to 100 V for 100 ms durations.

The RGF filters, with an operating case temperature range of -40°C to +120°C, are qualified to 700 cycles of thermal cycling testing (TCT). They also meet the MIL-STD-810G 516.6 standard for shock (procedures I and IV) and the MIL-STD-810G 514.6 standard for vibration (procedure I, category 10).
