DUSH960 DIN Rail Mount DC Uninterruptible Power Supply

The TDK-Lambda DUSH960 DIN rail mount DC uninterruptible power supply (DC-UPS) performs two functions to provide backup power in the event of a power loss. Under normal conditions, the external AC/DC power supply or supplies will provide power to the load. This source also keeps the (external) batteries fully charged via an internal bidirectional DC/DC converter. If the input source to the load is interrupted, the DC/DC converter will maintain a regulated output voltage using the battery as the power source to the load.

Capable of operating from an input voltage of 12 V to 60 V, the DC-UPS can be programmed to provide a regulated 12 V to 48 V output rated at 20 A, 960 W. An unregulated 5 A auxiliary output is available from the battery with overcurrent protection (-0M suffix model). Multiple battery technologies, including lead acid, nickel, lithium, and supercapacitors, can be accommodated up to a battery capacity of 20 A and 1000 Ah. The DC-UPS is protected against reverse battery connection, deep discharge, and overcurrent.

The DUSH960 can be used without a battery as a programmable DC/DC converter with an input and output range of 10 V to 60 V (12 V to 48 V nominal) to accommodate non-system voltage requirements.

A front panel user interface with a 1.5 inch color graphic LCD and four control keys on the DUSH960-1248-0M model is available. The module has multiple indicators and signals, including two normally open dry contact relay contacts, an isolated remote on/off signal, warning LEDs, and battery temperature sensing inputs. A mini USB-B port for Modbus/RTU and control software connection is provided for monitoring and programming purposes. The PowerCMC software assists with software setting templates for multiple installations, maintaining alarm logs, and monitoring.

The operating efficiency is between 96% and 98%, depending on the charging and operating mode. The DC-UPS measures 54 mm wide, 115 mm high, and 110 mm deep with a weight of 500 g. The operating temperature is -40°C to +40°C. Both models carry the CE and UKCA marks for the Low Voltage and RoHS Directives and are certified to the IEC/EN/UL/CSA 61010-1, 61010-2-201, and IEC/UL/CSA/EN 62368-1 safety standards.
