B-WBA5M-WPAN Bluetooth® LE 5.4 Connectivity Expansion Board

The B-WBA5M-WPAN is a connectivity expansion board from STMicroelectronics designed to accelerate the development and prototyping of Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) 5.4 applications using the STM32WBA5MMGH6 module. This board integrates the ultra-low-power STM32WBA55UG microcontroller, based on the Arm® Cortex®-M33 core, and provides a complete hardware and software platform for wireless personal area network (WPAN) solutions.

The board features a compact and modular design with an M.2 E-Key connector, enabling seamless integration with host systems that support the PCI-SIG standard. It supports multiple communication interfaces, including UART, SPI, I²C, and SAI, making it highly adaptable for a wide range of embedded applications. Power can be supplied via USB Type-C® or through the M.2 connector, offering flexibility in system design.

The B-WBA5M-WPAN includes onboard MEMS sensors (temperature, 3D accelerometer, and gyroscope), a user LED, and push buttons for user interaction. It is supported by the STM32CubeWBA MCU package, which includes HAL libraries and example projects, and is compatible with popular IDEs such as STM32CubeIDE, IAR Embedded Workbench®, and MDK-ARM.
