EFR32xG24 Channel Sounding Pro Kit, Dev Kit, and Radio Board

The Silicon Labs EFR32xG24 channel sounding Pro Kit aims to facilitate creating and testing products employing channel sounding to estimate distance over a Bluetooth LE connection. The Pro Kit offers a comprehensive reference design for the EFR32xG24 Wireless SoC and includes two wireless Pro Kit mainboards, two dipole antennas, and two radio boards. Application development and debugging of the connected radio board and external hardware via an expansion header are made possible by the onboard J-Link debugger on the WPK mainboard, which also has a virtual COM port and a packet trace interface. All the tools required to create channel sounding applications or other scalable, high-volume 2.4 GHz wireless Internet of Things solutions are included in the EFR32xG24 Pro Kit.

The channel sounding Dev Kit is designed to support the development and prototyping of products that use channel sounding for distance estimation over a Bluetooth LE connection. The Dev Kit provides a feature-packed, USB or coin cell powered development platform with a dual-antenna design, up to +10 dBm output power, and an accelerometer. When the kit is connected to a PC running Simplicity Studio, a channel sounding visualizer tool allows customers to effortlessly view distance measurements in real-time. The small form factor of this board increases accuracy and improves spatial and multipath resolution, making it ideal for size-constrained applications like key fobs and asset tags.

The Radio Board XG24-RB4198A is available separately for users who already have a mainboard available.
