EFR32SG23 and EFR32SG28 System-on-Chip (SoC) and Sidewalk xG28

Silicon Labs' EFR32SG28 dual-band capable SoC is designed specifically for Amazon's Sidewalk ecosystem while the EFR32SG23 5x5 QFN40 sub-GHz SoC small package is optimized for small Amazon Sidewalk applications. Development and evaluation tools for wireless IoT are found in the EFR32xG28 radio board, pro kit, and explorer kit. Sidewalk is designed to link devices that don’t have Wi-Fi and don’t require a lot of data.

This SoC supports multiple Sidewalk PHYs including 2.4 GHz Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) for in-home connectivity as well as sub-GHz FSK, the EFR32SG28 SoC builds "beyond the fence" and neighborhood area networks. The single die, multi-core solution, high performance, dual-band device provides excellent security, low power consumption with fast wakeup times, and integrated power amplifiers to enable the next level of secure connectivity for Amazon Sidewalk devices. Key features include a large memory footprint, a secure vault, and up to 49 GPIO.

The high-performance EFR32SG23 sub-GHz SoC device supports the Amazon Sidewalk sub-GHz FSK PHY for "beyond the fence" and neighborhood area networks. The optimized 5x5 QFN40 single die, multi-core solution provides excellent security, low power consumption with fast wakeup times, and an integrated power amplifier to enable the next level of secure connectivity for Amazon Sidewalk devices.

Using the Amazon Sidewalk protocol the xG28-RB4401C radio board, xG28-PK6024A pro kit, and the xG28-EK2705A explorer kit development tools support Amazon's Sidewalk ecosystem.
