UMT-H Series Fuses

SCHURTER's UMT-H series SMD ceramic fuse features Time-Lag characteristics and offers 26 rated currents between 160 mA and 50 A at voltages of up to 277 V_AC and 250 V_DC. The time-lag fuses provide over-current and short-circuit protection in various industrial control applications including intrinsically safe applications.

The UMT-H series has evolved to include higher current ratings to meet new markets for secondary protection in battery-powered applications. Areas of application are widespread, from motors to newer emerging applications such as those reliant on energy, data, medical, industrial control, and automotive. It is also impermeable to conformal coatings, and making it a good candidate for use in ATEx and IECEx rated devices for hazardous environments.

The UMT-H is available in a total of 26 rated currents currents between 160 mA and 50 A at voltages up to 277 V_AC and 250 V_DC. The UMT-H measures 5.3 mm x 16 mm, which is a smaller alternative to the classic cylindrically-shaped cartridge fuses measuring 5 mm x 20 mm. The smaller footprint saves valuable board space, allowing for further downsizing of equipment. With its square design, the UMT-H is also suited for more cost-effective, automated assembly. The high breaking capacity fuse is designed according to IEC 60127-7 and UL 248-14 and carries VDE, up to 16 A, and cURus across the range. IEC, MIL-STD 202 and AEC-Q200 tests apply.
