NR520 Series NEMA 5-20R Connector Outlet

The SCHURTER NR520 series NEMA 5-20R outlets extend its existing range of 5-15R outlets for applications with increased power demands. The NR series outlets are ideal for use in duplex or multiple power outlet distribution units used in office furniture, power charging stations in dwellings such as hotels, airports, and aircraft, as well as in power panels in medical offices and hospitals. The higher load capacity of 20 A for the NR520 is accompanied by an operating temperature rating of up to +150°C, which makes the outlets especially suited for environments with increased thermal demands, such as those found in data applications.

The NR520 combines the highest safety and performance standards with time-saving and user-friendly installation. Serrated snappers accept a range of 0.8 mm to 2.0 mm panel thickness. Terminal options include insulation displacement (IDC) for L, N, and PE or a quick-connect tab for L, allowing maximum power load to each outlet. The IDC terminals accept solid wires in sizes 14 AWG or 12 AWG and are mounted with a terminal cover. This terminal style is particularly important for assembling of power distribution units (PDUs) or strips of multiples. Available in three colors (black, gray, and white), these options allow for contrasting and identifying different power areas in the power infrastructure.

The NR series outlets are built according to UL 498 and CSA C22.2 no. 42. Flammability rating is 94 V-0.
