RRH62000 Integrated Air Quality Sensor Module

The Renesas RRH62000 is an integrated all-in-one sensor module for air quality monitoring that combines particulate matter (PM), TVOC, and humidity and temperature (RHT) sensors with a Renesas MCU and firmware. This combination of sensors and the easy getting-started sample coding with the evaluation kit (EVK) provide a solution for environmental monitoring applications.

The module is compact and connects to the main board via a 6-pin connector. The RRH62000 is easy to replace without re-spinning a new board and layout. The RRH62000 helps to save energy by allowing HVAC systems to support demand-controlled ventilation (DCV) based on the environmental parameters reported by this module. Rather than running HVAC systems indiscriminately based on a certain time interval regardless of the air quality and occupancy, DCV runs when air quality degrades and pollutants are present.
