RA8P1 MCU AI-Accelerated Microcontroller

The Renesas RA8P1 group of microcontrollers (MCUs) represents a breakthrough in embedded AI, combining the high-performance Arm Cortex-M85 and Cortex-M33 cores with the Ethos-U55 neural processing unit (uNPU). Built on the advanced 22nm ULL process, these MCUs deliver up to 7395 Coremarks and 256 GOPS AI performance, enabling real-time analytics, voice recognition, and vision-based applications at the edge.

With integrated MRAM, large SRAM, and support for external memory, the RA8P1 is ideal for compute-intensive tasks. It includes advanced security features such as TrustZone, RSIP-E50D cryptographic engine, and secure boot, making it suitable for secure IoT deployments. The RA8P1 also supports a wide range of peripherals, including MIPI-CSI/DSI, CEU, I²S, PDM, and Gigabit Ethernet with TSN.
