Renesas’ winning combination flammable gas leakage detector is an AC-powered standalone system with smart connectivity using Bluetooth® Low Energy (LE) 5.1 communication to detect flammable gas leakage. This winning combination reference design can be a very useful system for industrial and household applications. In this system, a single microcontroller (MCU) with built-in Bluetooth LE communication, DC/DC block, and 10-bit ADC aids in the quick and easy implementation of a safe system. Additionally, a 1200 V built-in bipolar junction transistor (BJT) based AC/DC system can be used for any industrial power line system.

- Stand alone, wall-mounted system is very small in size and has a low component count
- SGAS711 gas sensor
- Flammable gas sensor: methane, propane, hydrogen, and LPG
- RAA214401 linear regulator (LDO)
- 150 mA wide input range ultra-low quiescent current linear regulator
- iW1822 PWM controller
- 900 V AccuSwitch™ AC/DC digital primary-side converter for industrial applications up to 18 W
