Radio Module 2 Wireless Connectivity
Raspberry Pi sub-GHz radio modules bring low-power wireless communication to projects with LoRa® and FSK support
The Raspberry Pi Radio Module 2 (RM2) is a cost-effective sub-GHz radio module that provides robust, long-range wireless communication for a wide range of IoT applications. Featuring the Semtech LR1121 transceiver, the RM2 supports LoRa, (G)FSK, and BPSK modulation schemes in license-free bands (including 433 MHz, 470 MHz, 868 MHz, and 915 MHz), making it globally deployable. RM2 delivers the reliability and versatility needed for remote monitoring, smart agriculture, and industrial control, in a compact, solder-down form factor.
The RM2 is fully integrated with the Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller via SPI and UART interfaces. It also includes a digital temperature sensor, low-power sleep mode, and multiple GPIOs for control and configuration. Whether building a wireless sensor node or experimenting with LoRaWAN® networks, the RM2 is a powerful addition to the Raspberry Pi ecosystem.
