SMT-0540 Series Transducers

PUI Audio’s SMT-0540 series offers the audio customer one of the smallest surface-mount transducers in the industry. The SMT-0540 series is offered in a 5 mm x 5 mm package with a 2 mm height side firing or 3 mm top firing option. This offers the customer a very small audible option that saves board space. The 2 mm height version, which is also one of the smallest in the industry, also offers an audible solution for a very thin application. Although they may seem small, they offer a minimum sound output of 78 dBA at 10 cm, which is comparable to parts three times their size. Also, since this is an externally driven transducer, the customer can create and fine-tune many different frequency and tone sound solutions for their application out of one part.
