Introduced in 2003, the STEP power supplies have proven to be a market leader in compact, low-wattage power supplies with flexible mounting options. The third generation of STEP power boasts higher efficiency levels and an increased power density. Designed in the unique compact footprint that STEP users have grown to love, the third generation of STEP power is more versatile than ever before.

The STEP3 power supplies are designed to adapt to individual user needs. With the ability to accept an AC or DC input, the STEP3 allows users to use the power supply in a variety of applications. The wide output voltage allows users to make simple adjustments to meet the requirements of specific applications. For example, in an application that requires a long wire between the power supply and the load, a user can adjust the output voltage to compensate for voltage drop within the wires. Push-in connection also makes it easier than ever to wire in the new STEP power supplies.

Designed specifically with the building automation industry in mind, the STEP3 power supplies are approved for applications requiring EN 60335-1. The EN 60335-1 is a commercial approval that opens the door to any application within a building. Building control systems, lighting, heating or cooling, fan control, security, ventilation, vacuums, fryers, cooking ovens, vending machines, ice cream machines, and systems requiring power for boilers are all applications that may require a power supply to be EN 60335-1 certified.
