HEAVYCON PT Inserts with Click-In Mounting

Phoenix Contact's HEAVYCON heavy-duty connectors are used for various connections on panels and in the field. The product range is being extended to include fixed-position push-in contact inserts with click-in latching. This brings Phoenix Contact closer to a completely tool-free assembly and installation process.

The previous work of screwing the contact inserts is replaced by secure, audible, and perceptible latching into the connector housing. Tested to the same shock and vibration requirements applied to screw-mounted inserts, the click-in contact insert enables a reliable plug-in connection. This assembly solution, together with push-in connection technology, yields easy handling and considerable time savings. Even the PE connection now scraps the old screw connection in favor of push-in connection. And as before, users can still take advantage of the additional flexibility of inserting pre-assembled cable harnesses from either the inside or outside of the control cabinet into the panel-mount base.
