ams OSRAM's next generation of photodiode with a revised package concept

Image of OSRAM's TOPLED D5140 Photodiodesams OSRAM presents the world’s first SMT package for large-area photodiode chips which complies with the strict demands of the automotive industry and is approved up to an operating temperature of +125°C. The SFH 2200 A01 and SFH 2200 FA A01 photodiodes meet the requirements for AEC-Q101-C qualification and are ideally suited for use in rain sensors. ams OSRAM has followed the trend for miniaturization with these products and has made the photodiodes much smaller than their predecessors. The footprint of their compact packages is 4.0 mm x 5.1 mm x 0.85 mm.

  • Light blocking opaque walls prevent cross talking with adjacent LEDs
  • Available without filter as a broadband sensor (SFH 2200 and SFH 2200 A01)
  • Available with daylight blocking filter (SFH 2200FA and SFH 2200FA A01)
  • Available with IR-blocking filter for ambient light sensor or heart-rate monitoring sensor (SFH 2240)
