IRE-Q12 Series DC/DC Converter

Murata Power's IRE-Q12 series of isolated DC/DC converters feature a single 120 W isolated output from an input voltage range of 9 V_DC to 36 V_DC in a fully enclosed industry-standard eighth-brick package and footprint. Two baseplate options are available, one for minimal board space consumption and the other flanged, slotted for mechanical affixing to a heatsink surface. Positive or negative logic on/off control is also available.

The IRE-Q12 series is ideal for applications in the railway, industrial, and transportation areas. They are designed to accept input from 12 V or 24 V nominal battery voltages. The IRE output can be trimmed ±10% while delivering fast setting times to transient step loads and demonstrating no adverse effects from higher capacitive loads. The IRE incorporates all relevant self-protection features, including undervoltage lockout, current limit, short circuit protection, and overtemperature shutdown.
