Type 2EL Shielded Ultra Small Wi-Fi® 11a/b/g/n/ac/ax + Bluetooth® 5.3 + 802.15.4 Module

The Murata Type 2EL module is a connectivity solution designed for an array of applications. It is a compact, high-performance module based on the NXP IW612 combo chipset. It supports Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) as well as Bluetooth 5.3 (BR/EDR/LE) and 802.15.4, achieving a maximum PHY data rate of 601 Mbps for Wi-Fi and 2 Mbps for Bluetooth. The WLAN section features an SDIO v3.0 DDR50 interface, while the Bluetooth section offers a high-speed 4-wire UART interface and PCM for audio data.

The IW612 incorporates advanced collaborative coexistence mechanisms and algorithms designed to optimize the performance of WLAN, Bluetooth, and 802.15.4 (available in the Type 2EL only).

In IEEE 802.11ax mode, the WLAN supports modulation rates from MCS0 to MCS11 (up to 1024QAM) across channels of 20 MHz, 40 MHz, and 80 MHz, enabling data rates of up to 601 Mbps.
